Traditional Ads

While The Carolina Opry does not produce a large volume of traditional print advertising in-house, I regularly create print-ready assets for our tourism and media partners, including MyrtleBeach.com, Visit Myrtle Beach, and the Myrtle Beach Guide. Of the limited in-house materials that we do produce, I’m responsible for designing our printed program and flyers placed throughout the theater.

In addition to my current role, I bring extensive print advertising experience from past internships throughout my undergraduate career. As a marketing intern at the Newberry Opera House, I designed promotional posters for more than 150 performances over a six-month period. Each poster was uniquely tailored to reflect the style, genre, and personality of individual artists, working within provided branding guidelines and collaborating with agents to bring each performer’s vision to life. These designs were used across multiple channels, including lobby displays, billboards, magazines, and social media.

During my time at DFS Creative Concepts in Greenville, SC, I worked closely with the graphic designer and account managers to produce print and branding materials such as client folders, branding guides, and magazine ads for a wide range of clients, from law firms to chiropractic offices.

At Newberry Opera House, I was also responsible for designing the souvenir cup used throughout the 2022–23 season and sold at the theater bar. The goal was to create a single design that could represent an entire season of performances while remaining visually engaging and easy to understand at a glance. The final design featured a curated mix of artists appearing that year, the season date, a QR code linking directly to the Opera House website, our primary sponsor, and additional branding elements. After researching and pulling inspiration from a variety of designs from multiple industries, I landed on a geometric layout that allowed multiple images and ideas to coexist without relying heavily on text.

At DFS Creative Concepts, I designed a multi-page booklet for a financial firm client, Muncaster Financial Group, focused on clearly presenting their 401(k) options. Using their established branding, I created a layout that incorporated custom icons, charts, and supporting graphics to visually complement and clarify the written content. Working closely with the account manager, I took key information gathered during client meetings and translated it into clear, easy-to-digest visuals. The final piece balanced professionalism with approachability, helping transform complex financial information into a format that was accessible and visually engaging for the client’s audience.
